"No need to apologize for our feelings...ever...they are ours... but...ahhh...30 years...I bet they were amazing... my love and I were blessed with 33 wonderful years together...but so not enough, I too wanted more... my friend's parents just celebrated their 75th wedding anniversary together...a twinge of envy when I think on that...but then there's my young widowed friend who had only 6 years together with the love of her life...and she feels we were all blessed... herself as well... It's never easy when death separates you from your loved one...it was never enough time...no matter 6 years, 30 years or 75+...no matter how long the union...we want more...love always wants more...but not to view the time we did share together as a blessing is sad... and when we continue living our lives feeling cheated out of more time together is to turn away from all the days and years of lovely memories made, and only seeing the time we didn't get... that is living an ungrateful life, which makes for a bitter heart. Blessed??? Cheated??? To each his own...may we all find love, remember the love and live in peace.
